On September 16, 1958 Jennifer Tilly was born in Los Angeles in extremely substandard circumstances. Her father was a vehicle salesman and her mother was a school teacher. Jennifer was the second child in the family of four frequently attended the theater performances of her mother and was extremely impressed. Jennifer's parents divorced at the age of five. Jennifer was a resident of British Columbia for most of her life following the divorce of her mother, along with the remaining four kids moved to the province. Jennifer was not able to get an excellent education, despite being an extremely artistic young person. As a result of her education at Canada's public schools Jennifer came under the sway of many bullying incidents. She began to lose interest in the theater during her time in high school. Her mother urged her to play additional roles in different plays. She was the one who encouraged all her kids to develop a passion for performing arts. Her immediate response was to take action.
